Members responding to the question about eating raw meat and eggs for diabetes were largely in agreement that it is not a good idea and not worth the risk. Several members pointed out concerns about food safety, including bacteria, viruses, and food poisoning, with one member noting their nursing background confirmed how dangerous it can be. A recurring theme was that people with conditions affecting the immune system, such as those taking medications like Humira for autoimmune disorders, should be especially cautious about consuming raw or undercooked animal products.

Personally I wouldn't risk eating raw meat cos I can't guarantee how fresh it is how long before you bought the meat was it killed, how humane the slaughterhouse is, how clean & hygenic the slaughterhouse is, how clean & hygenic slaughterhouse workers are, how hygenic & sharp slaughterhouse knives and equipment is, how hygenic the source of the meat is. I would eat a fillet steak rare, sirloin, rump and ribeye steaks all medium. Sources are only as hygenic as they can be as are slaughterhouses IS IT WORTH THE RISK,? I wouldn't eat a raw egg for the same reasons either, I eat soft boiled and poached eggs and soft creamy scrambled eggs but NEVER RAW!
