Hello Bill
Post another question exactly as you did the previous one.
I have been told that you should not prick the tips of your fingers, as it damages blood vessels.
Iโve also read that you should only prick the sides of your fingers, index, middle and ring fingers, in line with the nail.
But some diabetics prick anywhere that they can get blood.
Iโve found that if I wrap my right hand around my left wrist, and apply pressure, for a minute or so, I get a good blood flow.
I also hold my left hand under hot running water.

Why do blood sugar readings differ between hands?
It's completely normal to get slightly different blood sugar readings from each hand. The main reason is blood flow differences between your hands.
Your dominant hand (often the right hand for most people) typically has better circulation than your non-dominant hand. This Show Full Answer
