Is there a treatment for IBS with diarrhea that causes cramps when going to activities?

While the search results don't specifically address IBS treatment, they do mention that diabetes can affect your digestive system and increase your risk for gastrointestinal problems.

If you're experiencing frequent cramping and diarrhea, especially when going out to activities, it's important to talk with your healthcare provider. They can run tests to determine what's causing your symptoms and recommend appropriate treatment.

Some things that may help in the meantime:

* Keep track of which foods trigger your symptoms
* Stay well hydrated by drinking water throughout the day
* Monitor your blood sugar levels, as both high and low blood sugar can affect digestion
* Consider the timing of your meals before activities

Your doctor can help identify whether your symptoms are related to diabetes management, food sensitivities, or another digestive issue, and create a treatment plan that works for your lifestyle.

I've tried Gas-X and Kaopectate. they seem to help if I take them together. I haven't tried the Imodium Liqui-Gels, - worth a try to see if they help any better. Thanks Nan!

What meds did you take? my sister also has IBS with diarrhea and takes dicyclomine , which helps her. A doctor prescribed it for me, several years ago, and it did nothing.
