I get the flu shot and Covid shot - and if you are old enough you should get the Pneumonia shot (there is a fairly recent Prevnar vaccine now worth getting since pneumonia takes a lot of people out every year and as diabetics we have a tougher time fighting an infection in the first place)

I told you we needed you and I was right 🤗💕
@A DiabetesTeam Member I get the Flu and Pneumonia shots every year even before I was diagnosed with diabetes. I had the shingles shot once and that's it. The pain wasn't pleasant. I had the COVID shot in January because I was traveling overseas. It's your decision on all of these, though. Best wishes.
I made the personal decision to stop getting covid shots as they are not a traditional vaccine but gene therapy in my opinion. I do get a flu shot annually also have had the shingles vaccine as well ss pneumonia and tetanus .
It's great that you're getting annual flu shots! People with diabetes need several important vaccinations since diabetes can reduce immune system function. Here are the key recommended vaccines:
• Annual flu shot
• COVID-19 vaccines and boosters (stay up to date)
• Pneumococcal vaccine (once before age 65, twice after)
