For weight management with Type 1 diabetes, it's recommended to work with your diabetes care team to develop an individualized strategy that's safe and effective for your specific situation. Some general weight management strategies that can help include:

• Working with a registered dietitian who specializes in diabetes
• Getting at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week
• Learning to read nutrition labels to make informed food choices
• Making gradual dietary changes with professional guidance
• Setting realistic weight loss goals - even a 5% weight loss can have health benefits

Remember that any changes to your diabetes management plan should always be discussed with your healthcare provider first.
