I drink zero sugar Coke and zero sugar Sunkist Orange and only issues I have is the artificial sweetener sometimes acts like a laxative and gives me diarrhea. So I drink it in moderation. The best to drink is water with a little lemon in it. Flavored water is good too as it is sugar free but also drink in moderation.

If you enjoy carbonated drinks, consider making your own sparkling water with natural flavors like a splash of 100% fruit juice. This gives you more control over what goes into your beverages. When choosing beverages, work with your diabetes care team to develop a balanced plan that works for you. They can help provide strategies for reducing overall sugar intake and identifying hidden sugars in drinks.
