I have a lot of c reactive protein in my urine.
This question requires medical attention. Protein in the urine (proteinuria) can be a sign of kidney problems, which is a common complication of diabetes. Since you mention having elevated levels, it's important to schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider for proper evaluation.
The presence of protein in urine Show Full Answer
Protein in urine is the result of high blood sugar levels. When your body breaks down blood sugars it is filtered out through the kidneys and it is passed out of body in your urine. High blood sugar levels can cause damage to your kidneys and cause them to be less effective to filter the blood sugars in your urine causing high protein levels.

Thank you. Diet does play a big role in our health.
I also have this issue and actually had it already when I was first diagnosed with both diabetes and kidney disease way back for me diet is the most important part of my treatment so far although other medications may be introduced soon. Since that was over 40 years ago I am proof that you can live with both conditions for a long time but you must follow what your doctor says! I think I had it when diagnosed due to the fact I had been eating poorly and was already a diabetic without knowing. I was caring for my children as a single mum and working shift work in a nursing home so was eating when I could. If this is discovered in your urine they will follow up.
