Glucerna and Boost Diabetic (think they are changing the name to Boost CarbSmart) are great meal replacements and keep the carbs to a tolerable level and you get a whole days worth of vitamins and minerals that are specifically beneficial to Diabetics

For the year and a half when I was actively trying to lose weight (lost 60 pounds and have kept it off for 8 years now) I replaced "every lunch" with a Boost Diabetic and that really helped cut calories

Tyvm J586 I'm glad I raised a valid and important point. Ty for telling me. BTW I just googled (do glucerna protein shakes contain any form of steroids) and the answer was NO THEY ARE SPECIALLY FORMULATED FOR DIABETICS. What made this spring to mind was weightlifters who drink so called protein muscle building shakes and does the weightlifters protein powder contain any steroids!
