Never put loose needles or full sharps containers in regular household trash as this creates safety risks for waste management workers. While waiting to dispose of your full container, store it safely out of reach of others, especially children and pets. Keep getting new sharps containers to properly dispose of used insulin needles - proper disposal is an important part of diabetes management.
