This is very long "to do" list but it is all true. I think the best way is to get used to this with periods of time and it should kick in. But yes, this is the key to having a good and healthy life as diabetics.
The question could be shortened to How Can We Live Our Best Lives, the fact that we are diabetics shouldn't change that
If we simply had have eaten healthy like we have been told for decades
If we had have managed our weight without leaning on the body positive crutch
If we had simply got some exercise - I remember "participaction" commercials back in the 70's
And never started smoking (for those that do/did) - the warning about it being hazardous to your health was issued the year I was born
If we just listened, believed and did those things then first off, almost 90% would not be needing a Diabetes Team and we would be living our Best Lives already, so the question would be mute
Live Like We Should and the Diabetes won't be a factor because you will have the Beast by the tail
Listen to what your body is telling you, have and stick to diet plan stay active and most importantly keep and maintain a good positive mind set.
