Insulin is the only treatment

But you can lessen your requirement for it to some extent

Managing Weight, eating a lower carb diet and exercise will almost always reduce the total number of units you need to use

Iinsulin is the only treatment for T1 diabetes. Type 1 is autoimmune and damages your pancreas. The pancreas releases insulin. You are replacing the insulin your body is not producing. You may be able to cut back on insulin by watching your diet and eating low carb. Talk to your doctor and see what they say.
