Do talk to your doctor but adding both "carbs" and "insulin" (beyond what you are eating/injecting now) will add body fat

Body fat is made from excess "carbs" (not eating fat). If you have sufficient insulin in your system carbs not needed for energy are stored as body fat

So increase both without increasing your activity level and you will gain weight

Gaining weight as a type 1 diabetic can be challenging, and it's important to approach it carefully. Here are some key points to consider:

1. Consult Your Doctor: Always consult your doctor before taking any new supplement. They can provide personalized advice and ensure there are no interactions with your current medications.

2. Dietary Supplements:
- No Cure: There is no scientific evidence that any supplement can cure diabetes, control blood glucose levels, or prevent or treat symptoms of diabetes.
- Healthy Diet: Supplements cannot replace a healthy diet. Focus on nutrient-dense foods to help with weight gain.
- Risks: Some supplements may increase your levels of certain nutrients to toxic levels, cause dangerous interactions with your medications, or increase your risk for kidney disease.

3. Balanced Diet: Incorporate healthy fats, proteins, and carbohydrates into your meals. Consider working with a dietitian to create a meal plan that supports weight gain.

4. Monitor Blood Glucose: Keep a close eye on your blood glucose levels to avoid complications.

Remember, always discuss any changes to your diet or supplement regimen with your healthcare provider.
