I too have an underactive thyroid.I take levothyroxine .Iam also post menopausal and had to cut right back on portions before I could lose weight.

Insulin resistance occurs before diabetes. It is a major contributor to the development of diabetes.
Most of us here are insulin resistant but do produce some insulin ,just not enough. That's why losing weight helps control diabetes.

Thanks for your input. Losing weight is hard cause I'm post menopause slow metabolism aro inactive thyroid and age. Try to do exercises daily walking and counting steps
Use no sugar do not eat in-between, have another problem sometimes also circumstantial an emotional eater which I work hard on. Life threw a few curve balls at me. What can I use to increase insulin absorption naturally to help me loose weight?
