It's called Charcot
It is an advanced condition of Peripheral Neuropathy caused by years of high blood sugar
I am sorry.
The amount of damage that existed "before" this became apparent means that it is unlikely you can halt this condition.
Are you seeing a Vascular Specialist?
They "may" be able to at least slow down the progression in your foot. But for your part the way you can help yourself is "never" let your blood sugar linger higher than 7.8 mmols (140 points)
Every "second" you are above that level you are making the foot worse.
Talk to your Doc, review your medications and get absolute control of your blood sugar now if you want to try and save the foot
