That is not at all uncommon. About 24% of all Diabetics are undiagnosed

And Diabetes is sneaky - it slowly and quietly does damage and you don't have a clue until one day a complication simply shows up

If you have had it for a while you are a little behind the curve - getting control early is key to keeping the worst complications away later

Take this seriously

If you are already showing signs of DME (caused by early stages of Retinopathy) you really want to try and halt that before it progresses to later stage
