Maybe, probably or maybe not

If you have just started taking either one OR you have just increased the dose of either then the meds would be the number one suspect - it should settle out in a week or two

But if you have been taking either for a month, have NOT increased the dosage and have had consistent issues that didn't exist before taking either, then you may not be tolerating one or both and will have to switch meds

About 5 to 10 of people will not tolerate one or both drugs. If it's the metformin that is the problem the ONLY alternative is a Basil Insulin - not something most want to switch too if they can help it - but if you can't tolerate "weeks" after starting/changing dosage, then that may be the only option

But I've been taking Metformin for 4 1/2 years. Why would I have a reaction now?
