A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have gone to doctors who only offer very expensive programs ( not covered by insurance)onvolving stem cell and plasma treatments that may or may not work

Short answer is NO

You can alleviate the symptoms with Gabapentin (Neurontin) or Pregabalin (Lyrica) which "masks" the sensation but the condition continues to get worse

Getting perfect control of your blood sugar will slow it down or possibly stop it from getting worse

But like all of the diabetic complication, by the time you notice them it's pretty much too late to "fix the problem" - it was years of damage that caused it and you can't roll it back
