This disease can sure be frustrating. Stress can elevate your sugar so take a deep breath and don’t let it consume your thoughts. Also try drinking more water.

How old is your meter?

Did you test on another finger to compare?

Diabetes is a progressive disease so it's also possible that your blood sugar really is higher even if you haven't changed anything you are doing

Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
Some basics on blood glucose meters.
1) wash and dry your hands. Salt, sugar or fruit juice will skew your readings high.
2) too small a blood drop will skew your readings high.
3) a week battery gives high readings, till it won't work.
