I ask myself a few simple questions

Like am I willing to have my foot amputated in order to eat this donut

Or would I like being hooked up for dialysis three days a week in payment for this pizza

You know, simple black and white comparisons like that

Nobody gets a hall pass. If you have Diabetes and you don't control it, it WILL eat you alive 100% of the time

There is nothing that I can put in my mouth that is worth a nasty painful death

Just say NO

I get hooked up for dialysis three times a week- not because my diabetes was/ is uncontrolled ( although that's part of it) but as result of effect on my kidney of COVID, norovirus ,,c.difficile- all caught in hospital and dehydration caused by antibiotic induced diarrhoea.

OK so this is an eye opener for me. Thank you. I ate 4 slices of white bread this morning, without even thinking about what I was eating. I suffer from mental illness so bread has always been my comfort food, but your statement above i need to heed to. Thank you Graham!

Thanks .. I do listen sometimes to my inner voice but today I really went off the rails had spaghetti for supper then had 3 chocolate chip cookies… not good on my part
I did do the treadmill for 20 mins after because I felt bad
