Can only go for new eye tests in January 2024 skip 2 yrs due to financial issues, live in South Africa.

I'll surely take your advice to heart,our Opthalmologist in South Africa are very expensive and need cash up front for a check up as most of them are outside of the Medical Aid paying schemes .But am having a eye test done in January 2024.

Hi Reubenels2 I also had floaters in the early years and ended up getting glaucoma, just ensure you meet and discuss with your opthamolist. I have a six monthly check up for excess pressure and I'm on treatment which stabilsed the pressure. praying for you tcπŸ™πŸ€—

Hi Reuben, good to hear that you are going to have your eyes tested. There are Optometrists that also performs retinopathy testing at a much cheaper than an Ophthalmologists. This, unfortunately is one of the tests that we must have to undergo on an annual basis. Wishing you only the bestπŸ™πŸΌ

Thanks Rubynaidoovodamail.
My only problem is that my medication for my Trigeminal Neuralgia ,Essential tremors and my test strips eat up my savings,so far me and my Wife skipped 6 years of eye tests,we have Decided come what may This is the first check on our list for 2024,Most Eye Specialist ask cash up front Up to R1600.00,and this I do not have, but Yes you are most correct in saying That we will have a thorough check in January 2024 when our medical aid savings account has opened.
