Eye Retinopathy...
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

My eye doctor says that because my high sugars I have eye Retinopathy on my right eye. I take of what I eat and had the sleeve surgery years ago; so I eat like a bird. I'm getting a second opinion.

Diabetes retinopathy is nothing to mess around with, you will go blind if not treated immediately and consistantly.

It is one of a laundry list of diabetes complications and comorbidities that are caused by glucose spikes over time.

Cumulative vascular damage from blood glucose numbers over 7.8(140) cause nerve damage and organ damage. This leads to and adds to diabetes complications and comorbidities.

What have you eaten the last 3 days, detail each meal, please.
What are your diabetes medications. What have your blood glucose numbers been. Both before eating and 2 hour numbers.

Praying for you.
Do what you need to do.

It's scary, but I have to find out what am I doing wrong??? Seen a nutritionist now. I think it might be my mini soup crackers ( addicted to them ).
