By the end of day in the evening I get tired and my vision get very blurred and when I wake up in the morning I have a headache. I am 64 yeay old and have retired. I have had diabetes for about 10 years. Am on metformin 2000 ml slow release at night. 6 months check 8.6, 3 months 7.9 and recently 7.3 going the right way. What could be wrong?
If you see your eye doctor they can check you for cataracts just in case that’s causing your vision to be blurry. I have them in both eyes but not yet bad enough for surgery. I often get a headache… read more

What I do know is the EASD (EU's version of the ADA or the Commonwealth's "Diabetes XX - (UK, Canada, South Africa etc) recommends that Pre-Diabetics treat with low dose Metformin (typically 500 mg)
Their studies have shown that it delays onset of Type 2 by "greater than 10 years" IF the patient ever gets over the threshold at all

Everyone here lives in a well developed country with decent medical systems in place.
So how is it that a Type 2 that has been dealing with the disease for about 6 years, who has seen multiple doctors and is now seeing yet another for a (known) Diabetic Complication (Frozen Shoulder) that they have NO CLUE what a Carb is?
