By the end of day in the evening I get tired and my vision get very blurred and when I wake up in the morning I have a headache. I am 64 yeay old and have retired. I have had diabetes for about 10 years. Am on metformin 2000 ml slow release at night. 6 months check 8.6, 3 months 7.9 and recently 7.3 going the right way. What could be wrong?

I can only see normally if I hold a hand above my eyes to block out the light. Even driving I have to hold my hand above my eyes to see the dials on the dashboard.

Apart from anything else it’s too vague and woolly a statement to have any meaning.
I got Cervical Myelopathy in 2002 and was told by the neurologist that I’d “be in a wheelchair in two years”. Now if I wasn’t so resilient I might have given up at that moment and resigned myself to my fate. Instead I lost 3 stone (42lbs) to bring me back to the normal weight category. I'm not talking about diabetic shock. In the event that a non diabetic goes into shock, they are given something super sweet to help. How does this kind of traumatic shock affect a diabetics BG and how is a diabetic treated for this?
I wasn't aware that "something sweet" was a treatment for shock (and would have to be at a hospital - the first aid treatment is to give them "nothing" to eat or drink
