My doctor recently started me on ozempic and my sugar level has dropped significantly. Very happy with

Hmmm, natural remedies
First get your BMI to NORMAL - if we had have done that in the first place, most of us wouldn't be here
Eat a healthy, balanced diet free of added sugars and heavily processed products - again, if we had have done that all along, most of us wouldn't be here
Get some exercise - ya, I was going to get around to that too "before" I was diagnosed and really was going to start getting active "any day now"
Since I didn't do those things "before" I started them after diagnosis and added:
A daily probiotic - I had messed up my digestive system eating "junk"
A daily fiber supplement - we don't take in anywhere enough fiber
Milk Thistle to try and tame my liver a bit (your fasting sugars come from your liver so you want it functioning properly or it will throw "sugar parties")
Chromium - almost all Type 2 are deficient - it's a chicken/egg thing - they aren't sure if lack of chromium causes insulin resistance or Type 2 induces a lack of chromium - in any case, we can use a bit extra
The overwhelming majority of us are here because we ate crap, sat around and gained weight - fix those and they are pretty much all the "natural remedies" you will ever need
Some people can lay around, eat junk and carry 50 extra pounds - US with a Metabolic Disorder can NOT - it's not about societies attitude, fat shaming or body positive
Your body is telling you loud and clear that those conditions are NOT OK FOR YOU - listen to your body....
I actually take three that in combination have helped me lower my blood sugar without meds, they are berberine, bitter melon, and gymnema sylvestre. I still eat low carb and I use Ceylon cinnamon, take milk thistle, and several other herbs but when I began using the first three I mentioned I saw a dramatic drop in my Fbg. Diet and exercise still are an important part of my routine though. I lost weight as well.
The one natural remedy that has been helping me control my sugar is avoiding carbs, specially simple carbs! Not always easy but out of 7 days, I might give in once so that is good for me. Also have been on ozempic which really helps too
If you type 2, eat healthy and get daily physical activity.
If you type 1, eat healthy and get daily physical activity and check your blood sugar and inject accordingly.
Diabetes, especially type 2 is a lifestyle illness. So adhere to a healthy lifestyle.
Don't rely on silver bullets or magic pills, because it makes you lazy and irresponsible.
It's not rocket science, just a pain in the "rear" sometimes that effects every aspect of your life.
And yes, I too use cinnamon but I don't rely on it to manage my diabetes but because it is generally healthy for many reasons and I like the taste.
