Have I Got A Yeast Infection Or Something Else?
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

bHi All,Just been reading about yeast infections and I thought that's maybe what I've got. It's not pleasant to write about but my symptoms are the white discharge from my penis but also like wobbly skin tags and very itchy bumpy patches all around my groin. Had this for ages as was too embarrassed to tell anyone.
Can anyone identify the problem?
Cheers
John🥺

Diabetics are prone to UTI, bladder and kidney infections - so much sugar in our urine and some diabetes meds (SGLT-2 class with Jardiance being the best known) can make the infection worse (more sugar)

It really is a simple lab test - they know in a day or two if it's an infection and lots of good antibiotics to deal with those

Don't suffer - talk to the Doc

Get into the Doctor's and have a lab culture taken - they will sort it out - might be an easy fix
