First off, what the heck is it?

Peripheral Neuropathy is a condition where high blood sugar causes Vascular Damage to the Large Veins/Arteries particularly running down to our Feet

(arms/hands are less common)

Slightly high blood sugar will cause enough vascular damage that blood flow is restricted to the nerves in the feet/calves that they first become irritated and then die

Memory Loss

Difficulty with problem-solving

Confusion/thinking problems; and,

Problems with language usage

The causes of each are quite different

In addition with good blood glucose readings I'd suggest taking ginkgo biloba which may help with circulation of blood to the brain but NOT as a substitute for good blood glucose control.
