It's not just you. Your body will release glucose to give you energy to start the day
Thank you Jerrik, much appreciated, tc
Yes, that is what happens with Diabetics and non-diabetics as well
Your liver continues to release sugar when you wake up until you eat something and "turn it off" while also turning the insulin on (releasing enough to deal with the sugars adequately)
That is why it is quite important, no matter what your fasting blood sugar level is, that you eat within the first hour of waking up - any delay to that almost always results in blood sugars that continue to climb
It is counter intuitive to eat if your blood sugar is elevated, but that is actually the best way to get it back under control (without using meds)
Thank you my dear fiend Judith stay blessed always. ♥️
@A DiabetesTeam Member hello to you my dear friend and I have a cup of coffee ☕️ before I do my test and it works for me..
However everyone bus different and som people suffer from stress about their reading and stress in my opinion throws our health out and it affects my blood sugar levels and my blood pressure readings are higher too!!
So if you feel stressed please discuss this with your doctor or diabetes educator
