The FreeStyle Libre 2 has been in wide use for years. 14 day life.
Now the FreeStyle Libre 3 is coming into use. Customer service is great. If you get a bad 1, they will send you new immediately. You can set alarms for highs and lows.

The Dexcom G6 has been in use for years. 10 day life.
Now the Dexcom G7 is coming into use.

The Medtronics is great but more expensive.

There is an implantable cgm that has a 6 month life span. The Eversense CGM.

Cgms generally should be checked with fingersticks for accuracy.

They are generally 15 to 30 minutes behind a fingerstick since they don't measure blood glucose. They measure the glucose in the interstitial fluid.

When you get 1, use the convenience to find out how each food and portion size affects your numbers. Gain more control of your diabetes journey.

Hello, My daughter (13yrs) have used both Dexcom and Freestyle Libre. The Dexcom is Continuous and gives readings every 5minutes vs the Freestyle Libre that only gives you a reading if you scan the device. You can attach the miao-miao to it for CGM, but have not done this at all. Her sugar is "better" controlled with the Libre vs finger pricking.

Hi again @A DiabetesTeam Member,

CGMs have on average a little less accuracy than finger sticks, but we are happy with them.

Because of:
The convenience,
The regular readings,
The trending up or down info,
The graphs available,
The alarms,
And much fewer finger sticks.

Good luck.
