Is Insomnia A Side Effect Of Injectable Anti Diabetes Therapy Such As Insulin Analogs?
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

I now suffer from a significant amount of insomnia. It seems to be getting worse and I a. now getting a poor response to traditional prescription sleep medication. Is it possible that my melatonin levels and my magnesium levels have been decreased due to my insulin analog therapies?
I tried over the counter combination of melatonin plus magnesium therapy and this seems to be improving my sleep quality and duration over the past 3 nights.

It’s never affected me but if it did then my dr gives me .5 mg Xanax for anxiety anyway, So if them 4 200 mg caffeine pills I take a day gets me going to fast then I take one to slow down a bit plus a couple more about 1 hour before bedtime.
