Carbs comprise 4% of a tomato, so a large size tomato is less than 5 net carbs. So the short answer is yes, they are okay for most diabetics. But bread at 15 carbs per slice could be a problem at 3 slices in a bacon, turkey, ham, cheese club sandwich. Since a carb serving in a meal is 15 carbs.

You could eat 3 large tomatoes for that carb serving, if you deny the starches in the meal. Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member.

Welcome aboard and into our family. Love you. Praying for you. Want only the best for you. That's what family does. How can we help and support you. I wish for you more good days than bad and have many exceptional days too. Baby steps. I can do baby steps and you can too.

And never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a wonderful day.
