Last night I was put through hell while attempting to purchase Humalog insulin at $35. I usually get a three month supply at $95. (Slight reduction from the mandated $105) But…being I’m in the “donut hole” Medicare-a three month supply of insulin was going to cost $308 at CVS.
I fought the lead pharmacist tooth and nail and eventually got him to agree to $35 for a one month supply.
Starting in January, 2023 as you stated insulin is capped at $35 per a months supply. No longer will Medicare’s donut hole make one pay extra at the end of the year.
I Loathe the donut hole!!!
In the US we’re supposed to be guided by the “free hand” of open competition (Are you listening monetarist Milton Friedman of Chicago school..)
Like Freakin hell !!
When in fact the truth is: We’re led by the machinations of the billionaire few whom raise their cigars and dance in bed with each others wives…
Free enterprise….Yeah, right!!
What numbers on CPeptide and GAD tests would prompt the doctor to immediately start insulin therapy?
