Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
How are you doing today.
The guidelines that most doctors use will leave you with diabetic complications and comorbidities over time.
The CDC, the American Diabetes Association, Canada, and most countries in the world recommend will cause, heart disease, strokes, heart attacks, organ damage, kidney damage, memory issues, brain damage, edema, slow healing, loss of toes, feet and more. All because of glucose spikes and blood glucose levels that are just too high.
<7.0/126 fasting blood glucose numbers.
<7.8/140 - 2 hour numbers.
Maintaining these numbers or better will prevent further vascular damage and slow progression of vasular related issues - diabetic complications and comorbidities.
<3.9/70 is hypo territory. Hypoglycemic events suck. It takes me days to fully recover from a hypo. I would do anything to avoid them.
You are looking for good information, go to Diabetes UK. Their advice is pretty darn good.
Baby steps. I can do baby steps and you can too. It might take some time, but you can do this.
Never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a wonderful day.
4to 9 is this ok
