Does anyone know what happened to @A DiabetesTeam Member ??

Ian - (Ian4Life) used to be a regular participant in this forum.

I was just thinking that I hadn't seen a post or reply from him for a couple of weeks (he was just recently on a cruise and still managed to post quite a few times).

So figured I would drop him a note.

I tried to tag him and it wouldn't pick up his name. I searched my team list and he is gone. His account looks to be "totally gone" - not a trace.

Did anyone happen to (chat) with him? Did he give any indication that he was just… read more

Members expressed concern when a longtime, active participant suddenly disappeared from the forum, with his account appearing completely deleted just after a cruise vacation and active posting through early January. Several members worked together to investigate his whereabouts, discovering through Facebook Messenger that he was alive and had read messages but chose not to reply, with one member sharing that the individual had left after someone upset him and he decided to step away from the site. A recurring theme was the community's genuine care for his wellbeing, their appreciation for his regular contributions and concert videos, and their hope that he would eventually return while respecting his need for space.

I am guessing Ian is taking a break, as I just went into my Facebook account, and in messenger you can tell when someone read your message as their picture appears next to the post, and in there it says he read it Sat Jan 22nd at 6:43 am, yet he did not reply. At least I know his account is still active, But this is not the first time Ian4Life has left the site for a little while. Guess we will know more in the future

Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
Looking back at our daily call to arms posts, the exact date was sometime between January 1st at 5am and January 2nd at 5am.

Someone said something that struck him wrong and he washed his hands of this support forum.

I did not reach out to him as he was already gone.

This at least gives you a time frame to work with.

Best I could do.

Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
About 2 weeks ago, I saw a post from him mentioning your name intimidating that someone pissed him off on diabetesteam and he was gone. He said he was leaving this site to you Graham.

The morning I noticed that he was no longer a member in my morning post.

I will look back and try to see the exact date that that happened if it is still possible.

I do have his email and believe I have his cell number as well.

I don't want to (intrude) if he has simply tuned out for a bit looking for a break but it just seems strange to me (and Ian and have talked as well a bit outside this forum) that his account would be "gone".

I'm thinking if he simply wanted a break his account would at least still be active.
