Gabapentin
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello, Everyone!

Is there anyone out here that take Gabapentin? If so, does it work for you and what dose are you taking. My doctor tried me on the 100mg 3x a day but it didn’t help me at all.

Thanks! 😘🙏🏾

Hi, I take Gabapentin for pinched nerve in my neck. I was given same prescription as you. I take 2 instead of one at bedtime and this has helped tremendously. 😘

I took gabapentin for migraine prophylaxis. 600 mg once per night.
I had to come off it due to side effect of falls. However, It's supposed to be effective for neuropathic pain. Also Lyrica is good for neuropathic pain. Try exercising as well.

Re:Gabapentin.. Usually the doses are much higher for those that find it effective. Up to 1800 mg daily in divided doses.
I couldn't take any amount because it made me feel really terrible. I have heard that it works well for others with no issues though.
