Hi

If you have your diabetes controlled, are you still at the risk group of COVID-19?

Welcome to the group

Diabetics take much longer to heal when ill, any kind of infections takes even longer. Viruses have no cure so it would be hard to treat, some upper respiratory infection often turn into pneumonia which again makes it harder to recover. Diabetics are considered the same as if they were auto-immune disease, auto-immune disease people are higher risk. Now diabetes often causes other complications, many diabetics have other underlying diseases. The more chronic illnesses you have the more vulnerable

Also any infection will cause your sugar levels to become unstable and most likely higher during the recovery and healing phases

I had a runny nose and I started adding ginger, garlic and lemon juice to a pack of thera flu every 4 hours and 8 oz. hot water...It stopped in 3 days....A friend of my husband in Nigeria had the coronavirus and her husband made it for her every 4 hours and it went away in 3 days...I I now add ginger, garlic and lemon or lime juice to my hot tea twice.
Stay well, safe and live in happiness! 🥰

I have diabetes and COPD plus a pot load of other health problems. I am doing my best to not get sick and taking my Elderberry Syrup daily.
