Hair Loss, Thinning.

A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone else had this issue? I have always had extremely thick hair even though it’s fine a have a lot of it. But over the last 6+ months I have noticed more and more hair loss when I wash it and even when I just brush and comb it. My hair is natural with no colours or product in it, but it’s long to my waist, I had comment about this to family friends but they said it just because my hair is long now. If I start losing my hair or it doesn't grow, its my thyroid that isn't functioning properly. Idk if it's a diabetic thing or not, but I have heard it's also a lack of vitamin

Certain medications like metformin can cause temporary hair loss, it did for me. The loss has slowed down now. With metformin it’s supposed to grow back after a time. I did hear of a shampoo that’s supposed to help. I don’t usually go for homies, but this one seems legit and I just bought some. It’s expensive, but all natural. https://bostegall.care/

Check side affects of diabetes medications. My hair is thinning but I am 65. It is an age thing with me.

Thanks for you advice, I’m on metformin so I hope the hair loss will slow, my hair is my thing, it’s really the only pretty think I have left, even if it’s half the thickness it use to be, suppose I’m lucky that my hair was really thick to start with, or I might be bald by now! I will research the shampoo.

The hairdresser commented that my hair was thicker before. Lots came out the last few months combing it.
