I'm not a nurse but I do work 3rd shift (11pm-7:30am). I usually just act like when I wake up before work, that is my breakfast meal. Then lunch is my break at work. Last my dinner is when I get home. As long as I stick to my diet and take my meds, I do pretty well.
I am an RN. I worked in a busy neuro ICU on 3rd shift for many years. I take 32 units of humalog with meals and 60 units of lantus in am and 40 in pm. I am retired for the moment but still basically living 3rd shift lifestyle. Hard to shake I have done it for 39 years.
Hi I'm also a nurse but we are human and it's normal for us to act out too...we are not angels dear...remember that...no one is perfect...have a good day...God bless
