I was told by our Diabetes Center that when you have sugar in your urine, you go to the bathroom, and it can turn into a Yeast Infection. You can get the over the counter cream for Yeast Infections and use it for a few days. You don't need an RX for it. Usually there are generic brands of it too. But, with diabetes, it is part of it. You will notice it mostly when your sugars are running high and won't come down.

The Diabetes will also cause the itch. It will also cause the various infections(Bladder, Urinary tract infection, yeast infection, etc...) Especially whenever your numbers are higher.

I took fluconazole. It was once weekly until I got my sugar under control. it was relief in an hour at most. Also over the counter monistat.

Oh girfriend, ya, that's one of the first signs someone might get before diagnosed with Diabetes. When your sugar is high, you drink more to clean out the sugar, then.......you have to go to the bathroom more. The urine has sugar in it. Sugar and yeast (because we always have a little yeast) boom.,.......there ya go.

I hope it was Kathy that answered above and not Sean. LOL.

Same here. I have Type 2. Vaginal itching is very common. With diabetes. But sometime it's caused by particular oral medications. Farxiga and Jardiance and a few others. Has even been given a name. Check with your primary physician. My doctor prescribed a cream that did help. Nothing over the counter. Discuss with her doctor as soon as possible.
