Just know that too much shellfish can raise your potassium levels. My 2 favorites are shrimp and crab. Lol Last summer when I was up north in crab country, I took advantage and had lots of crab. I had labs shortly after I came home and my potassium was more than a little elevated. Here in San Antonio, the prices are such that I can't afford it so often as I would like.

Usually fish, (seafood) if you can eat seafood, turkey and other lean meats is good, drink water, and some beans are proteins also, research lean foods for diabetes and kidney health. hope this helps

best

Ann gave you some great answers. Fish, mussels, beef are all great proteins. I started using almond flour and stevia for wanting to bake anything instead of flour and sugar. I switch to almond milk instead of regular milk as there is no sugar in it. I have lost 40 pounds and off one of two of my diabetic medications. Just by choosing a healthier lifestyle change of eating .
