Reduce acidity in your body. Eat alkaline foods. Try taking Sodium bicarbonate

I have Kidney disease, but I'm holding steady at stage 3 (mostly) I avoid potassium loaded foods like bananas and tomatoes. Salt is kept to an absolute minimum. I'm not limited in how much I'm allowed to drink, so between 60 and 80 ozs a day. Low fat, moderate proteins. If I have an infection my Gfr plummets, but usually comes back up after I finish the antibiotics. Go online to the DaVita Institute and see if they have a free class in your area. It's worth your time.

I'm not on Dialysis but my kidney's work at 50%. My Dr. says I'm doing fine as far as that goes. I've been keeping it pretty steady.
