Members rallied around someone seeking help managing job-related stress, offering a wide variety of strategies that have worked for them personally, including exercise (walking, running, yoga, or gym workouts), creative outlets like adult coloring books and photography, and mindfulness practices such as deep breathing, self-hypnosis, and progressive relaxation techniques. Several members emphasized the importance of creating boundaries between work and home, staying hydrated, taking breaks to stretch during the workday, and finding personal sanctuaries like the beach or hobbies that bring calm and joy. A recurring theme was the acknowledgment that stress management is an ongoing journey, with many encouraging the original poster to consider whether the job itself might need to change if it continues to harm their health, and to seek support from a therapist or employer if needed.

I go to Yoga every week. It helps the stress, and helps me to relax.

Pause when you can and just concentrate on your breathing ...deep breathe. Leave your desk on breaks and stretch or walk even if is to take the long way to the bathroom. Stay well hydrated. When the day is over leave work at work. Make your home a place of serenity where you can regroup, relax and most important REST.
