No, I unfortunately don't have a CGM. Here in South Africa you must be on a more expensive medical aid to have a CGM. I was once giving the chance to try one, but because I do a lot of sports I tend… read more
There’s some debate on how frequently you should weigh yourself with those that advocate weighing daily and those that think people might get depressed weighing themselves everyday.
I weigh myself every day because I can then do an average weight for the week. The problem with weighing yourself once a week is that the day you weigh yourself might be an unusual result eg heavier than normal or lighter than normal so it won’t give you a good idea of what you actually weigh.
My weight today is… read more
I weigh myself once a week, same day. If I forget, it's two or three weeks. I am only looking for excessive weight loss or gain in case there's something going on that I'm not aware of .
Thank you Pat 😊
Thank you
It seems when I eat eggs, bacon and toast with butter, bread being keto with 0 net carbs my post prandial numbers are in the range of 103 to 110 which I know isn’t bad but when I eat a breakfast such as French toast and sausage or bacon with berries my numbers are always range 89 to 95. It’s happened frequently enough that it seems like I need to eat some carbs.
I have lately started to up my per meal intake of carbs to 15-20. It does seem to help with post prandial numbers
Thanks (mostly) to Diabetes UK, this a list of diseases and our risk of developing them.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) – effects almost 10% of women – PCOS can trigger T2 but T2 does NOT cause PCOS
Diabetic Cheiroarthropathy – (ya, I can’t pronounce… read more

I work with two different Diabetes mentoring programs – a “regular one” and a “Bootcamp”

Good post Graham..
I have been on Prednisone for the last 2 months due to polymyalgia
rheumatica. It is a low dose, but I have gained 17 pounds and am not eating
more. Also, my sugar has skyrocketed, I know these are side effects from the
Prednisone. My PCP is going to put me on oral medication hopefully
temporarily but I'm afraid that once I get on it, I will never be taken off it.
Last night my sugar reading was 292! I was shocked!!! This morning it was
194. Then a few minutes ago before lunch it was over 200… read more
