Or you go to the restroom?
I will have to inject myself frequently and today I did check myself in a CPR class, no problem there, but what am I going to face in other public places?
As far as testing Ive notice for all the people with it there. I only see me testing. I always have alcohol pads for finger, so not worried. As far as injections. I do it at home, but that is just how my routine works. Around 7a and 7p. Usually home even for a few min anyhow so thats for me. If your someone who needs to have insulin ready at a seconds notice, i wouldnt worry. Look its on the rise and if more where visible maybe more done. Dont stress do and i hope best.
when im on holiday i usually do it before i leave the room if im in a hotel but if its a cruise im on then its done discretely at the table due to the extra waiting time that you have I also do it in my car if its that time but very rarely as i only inject before i eat up to 30 minutes maximum so only on runs out that cover a breakfast or dinner
I agree that bathrooms can be less than clean but this can be brought to the managements notice. Injections should never be done through clothing as there is a chance of infection and the right amount of insulin getting into the body. Whilst this may have worked for an individual if a clinician was asked if they would recommend or do it to themselves the answer would be no, no, no
Ill check my glucose in the middle of the grocery store if necessary and i do inject at the table at a resturant there is 100% no need to do it in a bathroom whos sanatary conditions are always questionable.
Ill either inject through my clothing or if wearing the right shirt roll it up a touch and do it that way. 20 years and going strong with a good low a1c.
I go to the rest room to inject but do test in public places. I find if discreet there is no problem.
