It really depends on your sugar reading.
If you eat a lot of snacks at night , you have to control your eating.

It depends more on what u eat & how healthy ur diet/lifestyle is. I prefer to eat at 6pm so I have time afterwards to walk my beloved rescue dog WINNIE to get my bg's down a bit after dinner. If I have a light breakfast I eat a substantial dinner @ 6pm but if I have a hearty breakfast ie porridge with a good handful of added bran fibre then it keeps me full all day & I have a light dinner ie soup & soda bread @ 6pm I believe it's all about BALANCE & not about what or what not to do. It works for me but it won't work for everyone!

Lean meat ie chicken with steamed fresh vegetables or vegetable couscous or quinoa, baked fresh fish with baked sweet potato & roasted vegetables, cottage pie with carrots, leeks topped with sweet potato mash, baked cod or salmon with herb crust & stir fried vegetables, chicken or fish & vegetable stir fry all for dinner. No food after 6pm.
