Eliminating being outdoors in the spring and summer is not an option as we do construction especially in warm weather outside.

hello I have tired many different things. I have a friend that mention to me that mango leaves lower blood sugar in the blood. I do this twice a day..You get about 9 leaves and a small pot with water to fill. Boil for about 8mins. get a wooden spoon lay across the top of the pot so the leaves don't pop out of the pot you may have to push the leaves down with the spoon from time to time. When the 8mins is over cover and leave over night. in the morning remove the leaves and pour into water bottle and drink during the day or a small cup in the morning and a small cup before going to bed. I notice my sugar has dropped plus I do watch my in take. If I want any carbs do it in the morning or early afternoon that way you have a chance to burn your carbs.. The mango tea works..Plus I do take vitumens that help me to. Been off my med. for 4 days now just watching my intake. Thas the trick....know how to keep the carbs down.

If you drink plenty of water, but wait until you are thirsty to do so, you are already dehydrated, thus concentrating the blood sugar. Drink fluids before you get thirsty.

I know for me, that I change my diet in hot weather. In cold weather there are more carb free proteins ( carb free proteins are other wise know as meat) and fats (which slows absorption of carbs) in my diet than in the summer. I had to learn that in the change of diet I was consuming more carbs and that they are absorbed faster. I know this now, so in hot weather, I adjust the carb intake down a little during hot weather.

Heat stresses me out. With stress comes higher blood sugars. I carry a jug of water and ice at all times. I drink when I am not thirsty, to flush those sugars. Look at what is stressing you, and see what you can do, about it.
