Yes it can. Literally everything can impact your glucose levels. How is more complicated because, well, I'm not a doctor. But basically, there are hormonal changes present and hormones can raise/lower blood glucose.

I have no idea, as I had that great op at 40! and only had T2D 18 months ago.
So no I really do not know. Although after children, I never found any reason
