Can I Use Splenda
I have to disagree here. Most artificial sweeteners trick the body and have other things in them that most people don't know. From the diabetes summit I watched the only safe sweetener is Stevia. It doesn't fool the body causing weight gain and is made by the stevia plant.
I don't keep Xylitol in my house as I have a dog. I sometimes use peanut butter on toast to hide medications.. It is poisonous to dogs... I get peanut butter that has no sweetener (peanuts only) which suits both nicely.
A package of Splenda last me for years... Really only for stewed rhubarb... and then just half a cup for a bunch of rhu... The advantage is that it keeps its sweetening after cooking. Most other fruits and coffee I drink as is... my taste buds have adjusted...
There's several different options on Splenda - some say yes, others say no. I guess it's really up to you!!! I personally don't like Splenda or any other type of sweentener, too sweet for me
My dietician says it tricks the body in to eating more since it doesn't register as sugar.
