It is so many things that a diabetic can not eat . I'm trying to get my diabetes my A1C # down and still enjoy what I eat can anyone help me
Mr. K. you have to somehow get some exercise in that moves those sugars around. you have to burn off those carbs with movement. dancing, walking, bike riding, walk around the block a few times,,,some movement and do drink alot of water. Kiss the soft drinks go bye and alot of the fast foods. Eat fresh fruit and veggies. This will work for sure. Self discipline. kick it in high gear for a few days and see what happens. I am a living testimony.
@A DiabetesTeam Member! Eat balanced meals with very little or no starch. Snack with a fruit or ie. Providas with cheese between meals. A lot of water, not only when you thirsty to curb dehydration. You need water to flush your system out to avoid concentrated blood glucose. Manage your condition, it's encumbent upon you. Wish you well!
pwople say, you can't eat this or that..... in reality only you will know what foods you can eat without rising your blood sugars (too badly) - those foods that rise your blood sugars, either avoid or eat less of. I do ok on lots of foods, but it will not necessarily be the same for you!! Portion control is key!!
My favourite lunch is mushrooms and asparagus with butter.
