Members shared mixed experiences with gabapentin for burning feet, with some finding relief at higher doses (such as 300mg three times daily) while others reported no improvement or uncomfortable side effects like nausea and a disconnected feeling even at low doses. Several members described practical alternatives that worked better for them, including supportive shoes and socks, topical capsaicin cream (Zostrix), or a combination of gabapentin with Lyrica. A recurring theme was that finding the right dose is crucial, as some members needed adjustments from 100mg to 600mg three times daily to experience meaningful relief, though numbness still came and went for many.
