this has been going on for the better part of the year .he thinks it is because of diabetes but does not elaborate on the why? My sugars are normal for me just feel kike going down hill at times thank you Larry.
Has your doctor ordered labs to check your vitamin D or vitamin B12 levels?
Once I got my blood glucose under control, my energy did not improve until I lost some weight and started exercising. Also, when I first started dealing with my diagnosis, I cut out as many carbs as possible. After I talked to the nutritionist, I added carbs to my diet because the 60 to 70 carbs per meal budget was way more than I was eating. The added carbs seemed to help the energy. Have you been getting exercise and losing weight? How is your diet, is it healthy overall?
That said, there are many other causes of low energy. If you Dr is not elaborating on why he thinks it is diabetes, ask him. Ask him about other possible causes for low energy. A bout of depression also killed my energy for a while.

I agree , you should check with your doctor and also make sure you are not on other medications that are causing your energy to be so low.
Thanks
Good Question.
